PDL is pleased to announce the winners of the 2024 PDL Student Grants. Congratulations to Yannee Liu (Vic), Aaron Stockwell (WA) and Riko Ngo (Vic).
The PDL Student Grant Committee was pleased with the standard of applications from students of all year levels.
PDL Director for WA and committee member, Celia Sansom, said, “In witnessing the calibre of applications, it was inspiring to see students from all over Australia applying, highlighting the impact of the grant program. Our sincere congratulations to Yannee, Aaron and Riko, who stood out for their considered applications and involvement in the profession.”
The grant program was established to help Australian pharmacy students broaden their education by attending a recognised conference. As part of this year’s application process, applicants could choose one of the following conferences:
“We are delighted to support students through attending Australian pharmacy conferences. It is a great opportunity for students and those with limited access to events,” Sansom added.
The funds contribute to event registration, travel and accommodation expenses up to the value of $5,000 each, as well as PDL mentorship opportunities within each state.
To apply for a grant, students submitted responses to key questions, prepared an estimated budget and provided a recommendation from a faculty staff member or manager.
