PDL is pleased to announce the opening of the 2024 Student Grant Program, with applications open until April 14.

The grants program was established to help Australian pharmacy students broaden their education by attending a professional pharmacy conference. The funds contribute to event registration, travel and accommodation expenses up to the value of $5,000 each.

Following student feedback, the 2024 program now offers four recognised Australian conferences to choose from:

  • APP Conference 2025, TBC March, Gold Coast

2022 winner Sanam Fath Abadi recommends students apply for a grant because of the unique experiences they offer.

“Thanks to PDL’s Student Grant Program, I was able to explore my passion for hospital pharmacy at the SHPA Medicines Management Conference in Brisbane,” Sanam said.

“I got to network with many amazing hospital pharmacists, I developed new clinical skills from all the talks they were giving, and I even had the chance to present a poster on some research I had conducted that year.”

To be eligible for a grant, students must be currently enrolled in a full-time undergraduate or postgraduate pharmacy course at an Australian university and be a PDL member.

Students can submit an online application for one of three grants via the PDL member portal. Applications close on 14 April 2024 at 11pm AEST.
