The PDL Student Grant Program aims to enhance the education and training of future pharmacists by assisting selected, individual student members to attend a recognised Australian pharmacy conference.
1. Eligibility
To be eligible for the PDL Student Grant Program, you must:
- Be an existing PDL member at the time of submission.
- Be undertaking study at an Australian university to be eligible for the Grant. (Undergraduate and postgraduate will be considered).
PDL reserves the right to not accept applications that are incomplete.
2. Grant value
- Applications for 2026 Grant funding will be considered for the following events: PSA National Conference 2026, Pharmacy WA Forum 2026, Pharmacy Connect 2026, AdPha Medicines Management Conference 2026, Australasian Pharmaceutical Science Association (APSA) Conference 2026, Australian Pharmacy Professional (APP) Conference 2027 and reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
- There are three grants available at a value of up to $5,000AUD each.
3. How to apply
- Submit your application via the online PDL Student Grant Application Form.
All applications must be submitted by Sunday 12 April to be considered.
All PDL Student Grant applications must meet the PDL Student Grant Program Assessment Criteria (listed below).

5. Grant acceptance requirements
- Grant recipients are expected to maintain an active PDL membership until the completion of their first two years as a registered pharmacist (complimentarily given as part of this Grant).
- Recipients of a PDL Student Grant are required to attend the full duration of their chosen conference.
- If requested, the recipient must be willing to undertake a phone interview with a member of the Australian Journal of Pharmacy (AJP) or nominated PDL representative within 14 days of attendance at the conference, with the article published on appropriate channels at PDL’s discretion, without the prior consent of the recipient.
- The recipient must be willing to engage in promotional activities of the PDL Student Grant Program when possible, including, but not limited to, an interview,
photo/video opportunities and testimonials about the PDL Student Grant Program.
- The recipient must submit a final incidentals expense report to PDL for reimbursement within three months of attending the conference or event. The final expenses must not exceed the amount requested in the Grant Application by more than 10%.
6. Important notesÂ
- PDL reserves the right to revoke the offer if any information supplied in the application is found to be incorrect or false.
- Any Grants awarded are conditional on leave from the university being approved.
- The Grants awarded may only be redeemed once.
These conditions apply to all recipients of PDL Grants through the PDL Student Grant Program. Failure to comply with these conditions will result in the cancellation of the Grant and potential for reimbursement to PDL of any costs already incurred.
