Following the recent Director election for New South Wales and the Australian Capital Territory, PDL announces Ben Wilkins as the new Director on the Board.

Ben has over 30 years’ experience in community practice, regulation, public health and professional governance. His leadership spans active practice in community pharmacy digital health implementation and policy engagement with regulators including the Pharmacy Board of Australia, where Ben served as a Ministerial appointee for over eight years. He has chaired notification governance committees – gaining deep insight into practitioner support, risk management and regulatory processes.

PDL Chair, Paul Naismith, congratulated Ben and welcomed him to the PDL Board. “Congratulations to our newest Director, Ben Wilkins. His leadership and expertise will be of great value to PDL and the Board, and we look forward to the positive impact he will make on the organisation.”

Paul also took the opportunity to acknowledge the previous Director. “I would like to formally acknowledge and thank Amanda Galbraith for her outstanding service and valuable commitment to PDL during her nearly four-year tenure as Director for NSW/ACT. Her contributions have had a strong influence on both the organisation and wider profession.”

In addition, PDL would like to congratulate Celia Sansom, who has been re-appointed to the position of PDL Director for Western Australia. As the only candidate, an election was not required for this position.
